Today topic is " Great leaders are made,not born"....but firstly let me give u one of the many definition of leadership....
Leadership is an organizational role involving establishing a clear vision, communicating the vision with others so that others will follow willingly, providing information, knowledge, and methods to realize that vision, and coordinating and balancing the conflicting interests of all members or stakeholders (Business dictionary, 2009).
Oh yeah...! It is a great definition of leadership...u think?
Well,from my point of view....I think someone may b born with the potential to be a leader,but a real leader develops over time.They've got to be able to go through very,very difficult times- tough market cycle,the team losing out to a competitor-and become out stronger,better,more effective.Just because somebody happens to have an execute job or title doesn't make that person a leader.It is the skills and perseverance of a person that make him/her a leader.Truthfully, one can be made a leader by grooming,teaching to take the challenge and risks.Yes,the way a person is groomed,nurtured and its immediate surroundings play a huge role in shaping his or her future.So,when the adverse situation arises,the one who comes forward and takes the charge of the situation is a leader.As the saying goes....the fighter does not win the ring,he is only recognised there!Therefore, leadership is not something you're born with it,it cannot be taught, it cannot be copied but its learnt!
HAHAHA....LEADERSHIP IS AWESOME!!!
